Interstellar (in cacao and honey)

These new pieces stem from a long standing interest in how to create interventions withinglass objects. This journey started in 1999 when Louis received a scholarship to study in theUSA with Czech architect and designer Borek Sipek and master glassmaker Petr Novotnyalso from the Czech Republic. He became interested in the aesthetic of forest glass a typeof medieval glass made in Central Europe between 1000 – 1700AD and how this could bereimagined into objects with a contemporary twist. This newly created series continueswith this investigation, bringing together new elements of colour and scale.
